Case Study: Supporting Participants Pre and Post New Hire Program
Ensuring all your participants have the same grounding in finance prior to an analyst program is difficult.
One global investment bank wanted to overcome this challenge by providing 2,600 trainees from diverse backgrounds with the same pre-learning.
Our Solution
We came up with a digital ‘bootcamp’ solution that could be accessed worldwide. For the pre-learning, we developed a core element covering essential skills in financial math, Excel, accounting, on top of an introduction to the firm.
The core was followed by a divisional specific track program for each business unit including, sales and trading, investment management, investment banking, and infrastructure. The divisional tracks were developed as an adaptive learning experience, with short checkout tests, live moderators, and webinars with Q&A sessions.
Tailoring to Individual Needs
Participants with more advanced knowledge who passed the assessments could engage with the content or move on freely. Anyone struggling was given additional exercises to help them get up-to-speed. We gamified the course to maximize engagement outside of the classroom. Different learning levels and badges enabled participants to track their own progress, making the journey more rewarding. The continuing education post learning program allowed participants to go into more detail on technical topics related to their business area and get a deeper dive on their business unit.
